easy to install 893 hid fog bulb?

Least i think it's 893, that's what my plug says but others say 880, 899 will all fit?. I bought new fog housings, ( just like stock ) i just wanna know if a 893 hid bulb should easily fit in and lock down . The opening on the housing is a little weird looking its not just round or square.

All the 8xx bulbs are the same base, just different wattage if I remember correctly. 893 is 32.7w or something and the other ones are mostly 25w IIRC.

So in reference to your original question about getting HIDs, you don't need to get specifically an 893 kit, you could get an 880, 899, etc. kit as they are all the same base.

ah ok thanks man , some of the kits ive been looking at come with halogen adapters, do i need them or not? i bought new ( stock ) housings by the way

Halogen adapters? Never heard of 'em. Got a link to one of those kits?

my understanding is it's just a little black ring that the hid bulb goes through to properly fit and lockdown inside the fog light housing. on my phone which is crap , if u can search for them on ebay do it

I've never heard of them. Can't find one either. Someone else might chime in with more info, but I've never heard of them being used/needed. The bulbs in eBay kits are all rebased to 893 anyways so it should fit in the socket regardless of whether it has an "adapter" or not.
