Good start so far.
I chose blue and red for the colors, you can see that the kph colors by the 100 mph and down are still red, but backlit with the blue leds. So the main color film you use would need to be backlit with the matching color, so it doesn't appear to be "washed out"

Overall, these new guages that you are making, Andrei are turning out great!

If that blue film that you are using is backlit with blue led's the color would be perfect.
Have you ever thought about getting a plain white El-glow sheet and trimming it for an "underlay", just like the back lighting in the SVT? That's the easiest way to get true even lighting with these overlays.

Metal Monkey just started offering the el-glow lighting as an option at the beginning of the year when I was having mine done.

Nope, I am done lol Except for another blue LED that Andrei mailed out to me. Once that arrives, I'll install it in the guage cluster and then it will be perfect!

I used a lamp cuz we were on our way to a family friends place, so it's just one 75W bulb lol. I'll try with actual LEDs later tonight prolly. Didn't have time for anything else. I might double up on the blue film to see how it comes out?

Might be too dark. just backlight the cluster with some blue led's and it will look good! Either way, can't wait to see how this turns out!

It looks good with blue LEDs and white LEDs.
I am going to make a connector for a white SMD plug-in light so I can see how it looks. I'll add pics later tonight with that.

Cool, cool. 75w bulb explains alot. I had just noticed how the High beams light was still real blue while the mph #'s were real washed out looking. My only concern with using blue leds for the back lighting is how will it affect the red color of the film. Wouldn't want it to change to a maroon or purplish color. Especially since I would have red and blue film used almost equally throughout the cluster.

Here is more using a single SMD. I'd be using 4 SMDs per location when I get those in this week hopefully.

Layer the films I did mine with 3 layers of blue film and white bulbs. Then I did the wife's with 2 layers of red and on both I used black nail polish and blacked out the KPH on the back so they don't light up.

I'm gonna double up on the blue and see how it turns out as well. I'll do 3 layers if needed. I'll take pics of each!
