2013's redesigned 12v outlet

My apologies if this little tidbit had been noticed before but I felt like sharing. I recently had the chance to sit in a 2013 Focus SE (Ruby red, black interior,DCT, no MFT for those curious) and noticed that the 12v outlet in the front seat by the cup holders has been redesigned to angle out and away from the armrest console. (though it's still in the same location) I'm very happy to see Ford fixed this minor issue from the 2012's. Whenever I go to plug something in down there I have to open, and in some cases keep open the armrest.

You can see if you look closely in this picture that it is in fact angled and not flat like it was in 2012 models.

(For Windows users who may not know, hold down shift and use the mouse wheel to make the picture larger or smaller)

Now if someone could find the part number for this that'd be great.

I noticed this as well. I never use the 12V socket though, so it's never been an issue for me.

My 2012 Auto has cup holders side by side and 12v is in front of cup holders. I'm sure somebody on here knows the trim difference for the diff configurations.

Yes, my SEL trim level (Ti are the same) has the cup holders side by side, and the 12V outlet is front of the cup holders (no where near the center console). Must be an SE/S trim level thing. I can see in that scenario where having the outlet angled away from the console would be beneficial for sure.

The SELs have a different position, with heated seats,

and without,

Both SELs pictured have dual climate controls which may be a design factor.
Nice improvement on the SE with it under the console though.

Looks like they added a little coin bin next to the outlet in that second SEL. Doesn't seem to be enough cubbies for stuff in these cars.

I just noticed on that 5sp SE, there is also a coin bin next to the cig lighter too.

It was in 2012. Now it's a bit more complicated, because the 2013 SE with dual-zone climate controls has the side-by-side cupholders, but the base SE retains the fore/aft cupholders.
