Going to NA
I've been saving up for FI and planning on that but after much debate I guess I'm going to stick to NA, I'm wounering if anyone can help me out on suggestion, I know UDP aren't worth it compared to other stuff I currenetly have Waynes tune on my car and a xcal2 looking to probably get the NA lifetime tune from tom once I get a few parts that I'd need more advance tuning for, I know all the NA mods are partial upgrades, 2-5 HP but over a few things I should be able to notice gains or just performancer I'll list basically what I am looking to do first.
Looking for a CIA, looking for something that makes a good sound to it, got the lunchbx delete with HFC looking for a little more sound around the hood area. Looking to snaz up the Engine Bay a little, I know this isn't alot of info but I hope someone can give advice |

Generally you don't find them, they find you!
![]() As far as CAI, I never bothered. I do love my HFC, sounds great, gives a bit more oomph that you can feel. Are you think CAI strictly for changing the sound? I don't think there's all that much gains to be found from a CAI that you couldn't get just from a K&N panel filter in the stock intake. Or at least not enough gains that I think you'd notice in a butt dyno. Someone else with a CAI can feel free to correct me, but I didn't think the stock intake system was bad enough that a CAI makes a "big" difference. |

an orp will get you more power than the high flow cat, but may not sound ideal on a factory exhaust. a CAI is virtually pointless; a k&n panel filter in the stock airbox and the silencer (S shaped tube) removal will get u the same power, almost the same noise, and wont expose u to hydrolock!
beyond those, there is decking the head (or installing a regular zetec head gasket; thinner), cams, intake manifold...and by this point turbo becomes your best bet.

there is an S shaped tube on the drivers side of the box. remove the top from the bottom, pull the filter, then gently pull the bottom out of the rubber grommets it sits in, and then remove the S tube. Reverse back together. Instant noise.
