Option to HID headlights

I was looking into some DRL's made by Nolden Cars and Concepts and came across their line of LED headlights and fog lights:http://www.noldengmbh.de/en/products/light-technology. I was wondering if these could be retro fit into our headlight housings like the Morimoto projectors are for HID conversions? Thoughts?

Maybe I suppose I have questions though. The biggest being how much....after that how do they compare to regular lights and HIDs. LEDs would be interesting I would at least assume there should be less heat generated and they should last a good long time.

LED's have come a long way,

Just a thought but, If LED's were a good alternative to bulbs, wouldn't cars be using LED's instead of HID's?

Looks like they are getting ready too. If you read the article and see where the LEDs have less heat production, less current and voltage requirements, looks like these may be the wave of the future.

I don't think, based on the pictures, that they would fit and/or work. The mounting is not at all like the HID projectors sold elsewhere. I think not only would it be a gamble, but you'd still have to bake the OEM headlights.

I went to the website and they lost me in first paragraph of their very professional looking page when they mentioned the "defence" industry.

That is the British English spelling of the word, not surprising given it is a European site.
