For what its worth, MFT stayed quiet and didn't so much as refuse to do anything I wanted in my drive.

Its hit or miss.

Old Sync was way more stable. At this point its better but still a gong show.

What I will say is the touch panel buttons on the Fusion are around a billion times better then the panel used in the Edge and what not.

I'd still prefer genuine buttons, but for what it is I can't complain.

But I imagine for most people the 1.6EB with the manual or auto will be the sweet spot.

Yeah I just built the titanium model and it is sweet! Although it is $33,000. I am still interested and might want to take one on an extended test drive. I learned my lesson about short test drives with the Focus, it acted up on the ride home from the dealer!

The MKZ still offers a V6 though, which is something you can't get on the Ford at any price now.

Really, the MKZs party pieces are the 3.7L V6 and that admittedly sweet glass roof.

Interior wise...yea I'm not so sure anymore. The buttons to select gear a la Aston Martin are a nice touch.

To be honest I wouldn't mind one but by making the Fusion that good they might incur some sales cannibalism.

With fuel prices so high a V6 is not a big selling point for me. I mean it is nice, but I will be happy to save the fuel. I bought the Focus to save at the pump and have enjoyed that and hope to continue enjoying it. I have been looking at other options and frankly not many look as appealing as the fusion in that category. I might go look at the C-Max, but I am not so sure what to expect there.

The C-Max feels like a taller heavier Focus to drive, but the powertrain is entirely different, with a atkinson cycle 2.0 L i4 that makes less power and torque but is more efficient combined with a hybridized planetary single speed automatic transmission. It drives rather well for what it is, but its not quite as lithe as the Focus for obvious reasons.

It is not as cool looking either! It gets impressive mileage, but at some point I have to enjoy it also! The Fusion is really looking appealing. What is it about Ford that keep sucking back into their fold?!?! Must be the MFT system!

I think the Fusion is a great looking car. I think it looks outstanding in Black. I priced out a SE manual with the sport package for $26k. Its the best looking Fusion yet.
