I agree with the post about a wife's chap stick... I keep a spare lip balm in there for when I am in the passenger seat & my husband is driving my car haha, had the same thing in my last car, lip balm holder.... In my Caliber they all flew out as soon as the door was slammed shut, but that doesn't happen in my Focus.

Space for right hand drive window controls? A simple fix so they don't have to manufacture two different door handles. Or I suppose it could be a place to hold an extra penny for 6-10 years without noticing.

Nope. Just checked the Ford UK site and it's an entirely different molding that that space – more like ours. I figure if it was really meant for "general" storage they would've made it deeper, which they could in that spot if they wanted.
