Hopefully you can find the time to fix it some day, whether its soon or a few months from now... I would hate to see you part it out!

Yea, that would totally suck. Don't part it out!

Hope you can solve the issue even if you have to wait a while.

I really don't want to part it out either. But sell the car or part it are my only options right now. I need something to drive

I'll help you out and buy the skirts and mirrors. And they can be replaced if you get it running.

Now before I decide to do anything stupid like getting rid of it or something. Im going to try to tear into it a little bit. Any opinions on what it could be?? Did a little bit of reading. And listening to the car running, and im not sure if it is a rod knock or not. I am just assuming the worst. Listening to it though, its hard to tell where the noise is really coming from. Sounds like it is coning from the top end when listening from the top. But get under the car and it sounds almost the same from the bottom. So I am not sure if it is a valveterain problem, or a problem with the bottom end. Im going to be pulling the valve cover off here in a little bit to check it out. The car was low on oil but after adding oil it did not seem to make a difference in the noise. Regained a little bit of power back but the noise is just as bad

Might be your valves? I know my valves have a distinct clicking "knock". Whatever you want to call it. You might have a bad valve spring? I dunno, I'm just throwing ideas for you. Does it run rough at all?

It starts when the car us under load and about 2500 rpm or so it gets really bad. Its like a real bad clanking/rattling mix

Clutch? Or trans? Does it do it when you just rev or only under load?

No it shifts and drives fine. Clutch and flywheel were replaclced last year. It does it revving and under load. Can hear it slightly at idle as well
