possible engine problem? or normal?

I notices when i drive in D mode. (i have an automatic) when i gradually accelerate i feel like the car is struggling to get power like it was go, then slow then go and slow, its really suttle but i feel like it lacking power or something. I have slam on the peddle and it was zoom up, but if i dont do that it feel like it barelly have accelerate. normal? or not?

I had the magnaflow exhaust put on recently dont know if that can cause any of these issues. or not.

It might just be because of the lack of torque in the lower end of RPMs. If you don't have any weird noises or jerkiness, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yesterday my car was climbing a hill and I could hear the clutch slipping then if finally caught and WEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

So, yeah - it's at the dealership. lol

Yeah... probably not good. But Ford will tell you it's just fine. Check out the other transmission threads. Does it sound like this? :

I went from a 310 hp V8 to this car and I notice the lack of torque. But it is more responsive than a V8. Sometimes you have to trade powerband for mileage. These cars just don't have the midrange powerband and that equals gas savings. I also have a 2012 Elantra and it too hasn't any midrange power and it doesn't get the mileage of our cars.

My tranny also grinds a bit in the 1-2, 2-3 shifts when lightly throttled.... I now rev it a bit more and turn up the radio. Haha.... It is the clutches rattling... They all seem to do it a bit and not sure there is a fix until they grind loudly and cause it to jerk a lot. Cheers.

Lol yea well I'm gonna see what the dealer says dunno of I need an update for transmission my build date was July 2012. Hopefully an update will help. I don't like the feeling of lagging from 2-3 annoying when all other shifts are good.

Hills are even worse on these engines/transmissions requiring you to drop down 2 gears. Keep us posted how ur dealer visit goes.
