They come pre-oiled nowdays. if it is a dull red color, your are good.

Not only don't over oil them, when you do oil them, let them sit in the sun for a bit, both side and allow some of the oil to "dry". If you don't the oil could get on your TB and cause it to start sticking or clog up whatever other sensors have been stuck into the air flow path.

Thats why I'm looking for a dry flow filter. No oiling required.
