Making my 2010 Sedan A nice la[:)][:)][:)][:)]l Vehicle(=

Many of you on here have become good friends over the years. I have recently decided since I'm about to be getting married and such that I want to make my focus look nice and last as long as possible.

I'm seriously debating removing the FSwerks header and flex, and putting the stock suspension back on it. I love the power the car has with all my mods, but its time to really buckle down and baby it.

I got new tires put on it yesterday(= I went with continental DWS even though it hardly snows here. The longitivity and superb ride quality of these tires was my motive and although they have only been on the car a day, I am amazed at how awesome they are.

I'm going to remove the plastidip from my wheels next weekend and paint them with duplicolor paint and clear so that it lasts and they stay nice looking. What color should I go with? I have a few cans of the duplicolor Graphite wheel paint which is like a gunmetal. But I thought about just doing a bright silver like a stock alloy wheel would be.

What do you guys think about all this?

Thanks,
Chase

NOOOOO You have one of the nicest cars on here! Lol.

I do know what you mean by the duplicolor gunmetal, we sell it where I work and I will be using it to repaint mine when they look like shit after all the clearcoat flakes off. I would go with the gunmetal, not silver.

As for the rest of the car, you don't have to change anything to make it last forever, do you have coilovers or no? If not I can understand wanting to go back to stock springs and make all the shocks/struts last but they aren't all that expensive anyway.

I am kind of in the same boat as you, I threw on 3d carbon kit, tinted the tail lights, painted the chrome mirror caps, did a projector retrofit, tinted the windows. Just got a house and my gf moved in and I want the car to last forever, but at the same time now I want to buy a toyota tacoma. I would like for her to eventually take over the payments so we can keep the focus because it is such a nice little car. Or maybe I will decide against the truck some day.

Anyways, just keep up on your fluid changed and maintenance done and it will last forever regardless of mods and what it looks like

That's debatable...

Why not just trade it in on a nice car? I really don't see how removing the header and plasti-dip are going to make it a "nice" car and I definitely don't see how going stock suspension and putting those tires on is any kind of improvement...
It all just seems very illogical to me.
