Parting is "not" such sweet sorrow

Well, after 17 months of hell with the Focus Titanium and no end in sight for the long list of problems and issues I continue to deal with on a daily basis, I have pulled the pin and have traded in my Focus.

I pick up my new ride tomorrow and I can't wait.

It's a brand new 2012 Lincoln MKZ AWD with all the bells and whistles.

I wish everyone on this forum all the best and those of you with issues pertaining to your Focus, I sincerely hope Ford will eventually get them all fixed for you.

I may pop in every now and then just to say hi.

Cheers!

From a complicated car many of whose issues were caused by how complicated it was you went to a much more complicated car. Interesting...

Actually, no DCT, no MFT to worry about on the MKZ and I have two friends that drive them and they have had virtually zero problems with theirs.

This morning the heated seats on my Focus stopped working and on Monday, the back up camera would not work and still isn't working. I'm done, over and out! :)

I am soon out of here too...I have had the equivalent amount of struggle with my '12 Ti bought in June of 2011. Latest today I got the same line about the DCT I've gotten every other time "we re-flashed it, we can't find anything" except now since I'm at 41K it's out of warranty. And then regarding MFT, charged for an update on that too (which I've escalated to the IVT Team). Not happy, and it's looking like a Kia or Hyundai is in my very near future.

Hope the new car treats ya better! Automotive issues are always the most frustrating...

I wish you all the best with whatever you replace the Focus with, I know exactly how you feel.

If you're upgrading to SYNC 3.5.1, you should not be charged.

My neighbor has a Hyundai coupe - hates it; POS.

Nice pick up. If the reliability is anything like my mothers 2010 Fusion sport, you should have little to no problems.

Powertrain warranty is 60,000 miles, isn't it?
