Took a nice long, leisurely drive last week from my home in Fort Worth, TX to Los Angeles, CA.

After a lunch stop in Barstow, CA (we took I-40 instead of I-10) we headed south on I-15. When you pass through the Angeles National Forest just north of San Bernadino, there's a spot of highway where it drops from 5000ft to around 700-800ft in the span of about 5 miles. So I hit reset on the MPG counter and basically coasted down the hill. Started at around 65mph and even with a few brake checks we were doing 85mph by the bottom. This pic was taken just as the road flattened out. I really wanted to see what happened when it hit 100mpg, but no such luck.

If I had put it in neutral instead of leaving it in gear it may have gone higher. But the world may never know. No hills even approaching that here in Texas.
