And just a heads up for the comparison to the ford ranger above with the 40 flomaster muffler... that is the exact muffler that was on my car. And it does not sound anything like that on our motor...

Here is one The very last crappy raspy rev is what it sounds like past 4k except louder and steady haha:

And if you ever go header you might as well sell it lol. It sounds like a very loud pissed off bumble bee that is dieing with a header haha. Do it right the first time, get fswerks, and never have to change it 15 times like I did as I modded my car.. I honestly have tested out at leaset 10 different setups under my car between resonator combinations with mufflers and everything else until I finally have mine where I really like the tone now.

Im not trying to win blue. I just don't want to see the guy go through the hell I did with my exhaust... It has taken me 2 years to get it right lol
I would rather share with others here on the forum experiences I had as I did these same things to my focus then see them waste money like I did. That is what this forum is all about!

well you should have just gone with the fswerks like you said instead of four mufflers. but that makes your car unique correct? and if you like it then that's is excellent, people want to see what can be done. but telling him to "stay within the realm" kinda takes away the meaning of it being "his car". idk i just feel like if he wants a flowmaster then let him have a flowmaster. i honestly think it sounds good if you get the right muffler. like i said it's personal preference

flowmaster makes mufflers for all types of engines. that's all i'm saying.

I messed around and purchased the trubendz piping in the beginning. Trust me I wish I would have gotten the fswerks but at the time I thought I had too much invested in my exhaust to simply scrap it and go to the fswerks.. I should have just gone fswerks because all and all on exhaust I have spent over $900 between parts and having shops swap stuff in and out.... Why waste money when you can do it right the first time? lol

FSwerks is hands down the way to go.... Quality! Proven hp gain! Great company to support! 85% of the work they do is just on focus's! If i had the money to buy more car parts from them I would! I trust them!
