2012 Focus radio background/brightness

Is there a way that you (or the dealer) can change the background or turn off the LCD screen for the Radio when not in use, or make some other adjustment to make it less obnoxious at night when driving.'

Can they flash a different background, like the one found on the Titanium models which has a black-ish background with a hint of blue?

Changing background on one of the screens is pretty easy.

He doesn't have MFT, he has a '12 SE.

Off-hand I don't know, but couldn't hurt to look into it.

I don't have the MFT radio. I have the upgraded "standard" radio with the blue background (has the 4.3" LCD screen--the one when you order Sync but not MFT).

I think you can dim the displays from the settings menu in the information display. I'm not sure though as I haven't had the need to mess with the "automatic" and "manual" dimming modes.
