SE Sport package seats

I'm seriously considering a used 2012 Focus SE with the sport package, but I've only driven a base car, and the car I'm interested in is 4 hours away. Can anyone here that's driven both cars comment on the differences between the base seats and the sport package seats? I'm mainly worried about the seat shape being highly bolstered and uncomfortable for bigger guys like me. I'm 6'2 and 285 or so. The base seats were extremely comfortable, but I really want the 4 wheel disc brakes and alloy wheels the sport package comes with.

Go for the sport package. The alloy wheels really enhance the look of the car from the outside while the leather steering wheel and seat fabric are nice touches on the inside.

The sport seats are better bolstered, etc... as compared to a base model seat, but they are still setup for the general buyer and are plenty comfortable for larger people.

My additional $.02 is that while the sport package seats are "sportier" when compared to the base seats, you'd probably have to get the Recaros in the ST for a true "sport/race" seat, and all the benefits/limitations typically associated.

I'm 5'11" and 245lbs, and I've found the seats are plenty wide. It's not a bench seat by any means, but they've been plenty comfy on more than a few 12 hour road-trips.

And ya'll feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe the sport package seats and those in the Titaniums are basically the same, except the Titaniums have the leather?

Yes, the Ti has the sport seat in leather. Also, the 2013 ST base seat is the same as the 2012 SE Sport seat...same color and everything.

Thanks for the info. It's nice to know it's comfortable for others close to my size. That's one of the things I loved about the base one I drove: I didn't feel shoehorned in like a lot of other cars. I'm pretty wide in the shoulders, too, and a lot of cars really cramp me at the B pillar. Even the Taurus as big as it is crowds me there.

I love my sport bucket because they sort of keep you in your seat even on curvy winding roads, whereas from my personal experience, the regular seats you tend to slide around a bit when going around corners.

I will note that people who may have back issues or back pains, maybe should not get them. I have some minor back issues so on long trips the seats can cause your body to ache a little. But a little walking around usually will take care of that.

Between the two, I'd get the sport bucket seats. The meshy material also feels a bit more higher quality than the basic seats.
