Sub with stock radio

I am sure it's been talked about but I am not seeing any search results right away and I am too lazy to go in search mode.

Anyways I like the most up to date information.

Can you add a amp and subwoofer with our stock radios? Does our radio actually have the correct plugs on the back for the amp cables or no?

I know how to run the power wire and such but no idea on the rca and rem wire for the amp.

I miss my boom booms, I almost thought when i got the car it had a 8inch factory sub or something cause the speakers bump quite a bit, but I would like to put my subwoofer back in my car since I have been without it for like 4 months now...

i wired my sub into the rear speakers. wasn't hard at all but to answer you question i don't think there is a way to wire it directly to the factory HU.

I pulled the radio out and tapped into the harness there and used a LOC (line out convertor) so I could run RCA's to the sub. Not an audiophile set up but neither is the factory unit, just wanted some bump and the stock look

do what I did go to your local junkyard and cut the speaker connector out then go to your local auto parts dealer and get a aftermarket radio harness and use these to splice in without cutting up the factory harness and run a line out converter to use rca cables for your amp.

I wrote a guide on how to do a line out converter to keep stock headunit.
