Suspension help

I have a 2005 zx4 sedan. I'm wanting to replace the stock suspension with something better and maybe even lower it an inch. What should I go with?

Lowers ur stance about 1/2 inch.

I'm not a 100% sure if it fits the zx4 tho.
Not sure how different the suspension is.

Th SVT shocks, struts and springs fit all focus except wagon.
It's a great performance kit and incredible value at $300.
It doesn't lower the car much, only 1/2".
If lower is necessary for you, the ford racing springs can still be found, 1.5" drop.

Do i need any special tools or would i be able to do it with the basic mechanic tools?

most auto stores will loan/rent out a spring compressor too. so if you are up to the task, it is something you can do in an afternoon (a second set of hands would help.)

I'm sorry but that is incorrect. The front knuckle changed halfway through 2005. The svt suspension may not fit your focus without the massive omni kit depending on your setup.

Take a pic of your front strut and we can tell you which suspension will fit your car.

Yes he will have to order the correct kit or adapter sleeves.
The dampner kit is the same price for the 00-05 vs 06-07.

He asked if the ZX4 was different from the other models, suspension wise, it is not.
