Where were the Zetec and the Duratec 2.0l engines made?

I keep getting conflicting results on wikipedia, one site says the Mexican engine plant, and the other says the Dearborn River Rouge plant.

For the Dearborn you have an M in the vin, For Mexico G.

Zetec IIRC was actually cast in Brazil. Assembled in Mexico.

I'm not sure on the duratec. I don't think they were cast in Brazil though. I believe that facility shut down and the zetecs were the last, or one of the last, engines they made there.
The conflicting info comes form peoples understanding of 'made'. There are plants that cast parts, individual components. And there are plants that assemble components. And then there are plants that do final assembly and inspection.

But I'm not able to find that info again. it might be wrong anyways.

I did find this though --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chihuahua_Engine

It says that both the zetec and duratecs are 'made' in Mexico.
But stepping back a page it also says that the duratecs are made in Dearborn, the River Rouge Complex --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ford_factories
I know that final assembly is done there. But I don't believe any parts are 'made' there.

This may also be some confusion in VIN decoding and casting stamp decoding.
Don't "think outside the box".
There is no box.
Do it correct, or do it twice.
