Unusual wear on '12 sport seats

I'm awaiting delivery of my 2013 ST which has the same seats (added with a stitched in ST logo) and this makes me a little weary.. those covers look really nice though!

That wear looks like it might be caused by the studs on jeans, do you wear jeans? I had a similar thing on leather side bolsters on the seat in a previous car.

Did anyone actually buy these covers? Are you pleased with them? I have a dog that sheds and the hair gets stuck in the seat cloth weave, so I'm seriously thinking about the covers.

That wear does seem very premature Ron... I've put 9K miles on mine in the 5 months I've had it and my seats don't show any wear. It appears to be from entering & exiting the seat. Do you make many short trips?

Yes,many short trips but I've never seen this kind of wear this early and my wife and I aren't wearing sandpaper pants.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but is that about where the seatbelt would hit the seat as you are driving? Could there possibly be something weird with your seatbelt causing the issue rather than pants?
