Mpg

I'm sure I'm really late to the party here and if I searched correctly would get the answer.
My mpg is really low, 22 average. Only about 29 cruising at 60 mph. Does it take a while to break in the motor. Bought the car with 5 miles on it. I know on my other cars I got the standard right away, about 30 mpg on the hwy with the vette.

Again sorry for probably an answered question, but I guess since it's a 2013 not many exact responses.

I just filled up today got 23.5 all city. My hwy mpg is only about 30 or 31, of course that is from Austin to Dallas @ 75 - 80 with the A/C on which really doesn't sound that bad when you look at that way. I was hoping for better better. I just have a lead foot. Seems like no matter what I drive I get the very worst mileage.

That's not bad all city, just wondering if I'll hit the 38 hwy (in the winter) as advertised. I reset my calc for a 10 mile 60 mph road with AC off and only got about 29, which I thought was low. Again only ~100 or so miles on the car.
Can't complain much though, my gto averages 10.5 and the vette 17.5.

BTW..How do you like the 130 toll road, I love it when going to/from the airport.

I have not used the trip computer, I do not think it is as accurate. I always just fill up and reset the trip odometer. The next time I fill up I use the miles from the trip odometer and divide by the # of gallons of fuel. I am at 2800 miles and have not really seen any change.
As for the toll road I do anything I can to stay off I35. I wish they would extend it all the way to Dallas.

I would hand-calc the mileage. Once you're past break-in mileage, I think the MPG should be fairly consistent. I would expect it to be between 30 and 40, unless you're doing all city driving.

I get 34mpg with mixed driving on chunky summer tires. I was getting 36mpg or better with the all-seasons. Just don't mash the throttle and you'll be good. I've gotten over 40mpg on long road trips before too.

** I probably should note I have 30,000 miles on my car.

I'm averaging about 36.5 with mostly highway driving. That's what the puter is telling me, my speedometer is also reading about 2 mph low so actual??? I picked up the car earlier this month and have about 2500 miles on it so far.

I have about 4,000miles on mine and usually get around 34-35MPG. That is hand calc... using the trip comp its pretty close to that only about .5 MPG off. About 95% of my driving is highway at 75-80 w cruise on. I do tend to accelerate hard on ramps though.

I was getting on average 34mpg throughout the summer temps. doing 65mph on my commutes..

But with the cooler weather, I've been getting about 30-31mpg with 10K on the odometer as of tonight.. Still within the combined EPA 31mpg stated on the window sticker..

I'm very happy..
