Exhaust system?
Hi guys. I am looking into purchasing an exhaust system for my 02 SVTF. I really like the FSWerks race exhaust and I have heard the Borla and magnaflow systems as well and they all sound somewhat the same. The stock exhaust on the svt's is amazing, but I want it louder! Is it worth buying a full exhaust system?

I have the Borla exhaust, I chose it because to me it sounded the deepest and least ricey of the three.

Borla sounds like stock, except deeper, angrier, and a bit louder. Not OMFGRACECAR loud but "Oooohh that sounds nice" loud. It's loud enough to turn heads and make people smile, but not loud enough to turn heads and make people sneer. And of course, an ORP will make any exhaust louder.

Off Road Pipe. Replaces the catalytic converter with essentially a straight through (but curvy) pipe. Not exactly legal, but if you don't have emissions testing you should be ok. Another option is a High Flow Cat, or HFC, which costs more, but still gives positive gains over the stock cat. And its legal (in most states/applications)

Hmm, well thanks! I learn something new everyday on here lol. I probably wont be going with an ORP in that case.

Hks full exhaust system. Pricey but best quality exhaust for the svt focus.
Hks muffler with custom piping is also a cheaper option.

go with trubendz... its a full 3 inch echaust to the muffler of your choice for only about 400$

I have the Borla with a High Flow Cat and it has been on the car for about 5 years now and it is amazing. I love how deep it is. like someone said it is deep and loud enough to turn heads and have people smile instead of sneer.
