i never had this issue on any car i've owned before. IMO, just poor design....
Do you know why the left side is raised more than the left??? it has to do with the design for the wheel suspension.

as for me, im 6'1" 209 and wear 34/34 and my legs rest similar as yours(OP). i feel no metal in the sides of my leg or discomfort on long rides and i commute 84 miles one way to work. I have a SEL w leather.

For me, maybe it's simply the difference between the seats ... my model is an SE, cloth seat. I read that they make the seats in Mexico ... and that it's a sub, not Ford itself. Maybe its adesign issue, maybe a quality issue ... will see what the dealer can do.

Specific to me, I tried, based upon other posts here, to bring my leg in (towards the seat) as if I built up the floor where your left foot rests ..

When I get a chance to speak with the dealer, I'll advise ..

I would be surpised if it is a design oversight ... I'm on the slightly taller side but, by no means "Tall"

Thanks for your post and input :-)

I just returned from a 1800 mile round trip. I didn't not adjust the seat because it's my wife's DD. I did find the seat bottom to make my butt and backs of both legs to hurt after 5-6hr's driving. I did get relief from removing my wallet. Overall it's a great little car.

6'4" 182lbs 35x32 guy here. I get uncomfortable on long rides but that is mostly my lower back. I have a Ti with the 400A sport seats.

I did a 2000 mile journey from Chicago to Dallas and back about a month ago. On the way down, after 3 hours of driving my shoulders and neck were killing me. After some experimentation I figures out that I need to have the seatback reclined more than I am used to. I think it's the headrest sticking out that messed me up. After reclining it some, I din't have any issues on the rest of the trip... BTW, I have a 2012 SEL w/leather

Yeah, I've found its one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven in. I think the lumbar support is superior to my old Mustang, which had leather/premium seats & electronic lumbar support.

6'0, 165lb. 29/32 jeans lol

Job 1 cars only have height adjustable front head restraints (2010-3/4/12). Where as most Job 2 cars built after 4/10/12 were built with the ratcheting fore- aft adjustment capability giving them four way adjustability.
