I got the plate and mounting kit from europeanplates. The holder/kit is pretty cheap and uses standard north american hole locations.

Short of going out and spending over $100 on a cheap knock off chinese center grille with the european plate cutout just reuse the mounting plate and screw it into the north american plate's mounting area. That or you could use some 3m dual lock velcro, but only if the weather is warm enough for it to stick.

I used some double sides outdoor 3M adhesive tape and a piece of plastic cut to the American plate size to mount mine. I just taped the plastic piece to the plate then the whole thing to the front bumper. It's been on there a year and a half now or so and hasn't moved an inch.

Two things:

1) This isn't a German car. I don't understand why people do this on non-German cars. I'm 100% German (my license plate is actually "Z GRMAN"), but I wouldn't put a German plate on an American car. It's weird, and makes no sense.

2) It's not a legal license plate. In states that require a front plate you still need to display the actual state plate somewhere in the front of the car. At that point it makes zero sense...since then you'd have two.

It's all a matter of preference. I may do something to my car that you dont like and you may do something to your car that I won't like. It's the joy of ownership and being a free mind.

My full name is Wilbert, which you being German will understand that I have a German name and why I like the Euro look.

Personally I like the look too and I'm German also. Dont know why people have to criticize someones personal preference.
