Too much work. Weren't the Merkurs based of the Sierra anyways? I'd like to buy something and not have to do a lot to it to have fun. I like to keep things simple.

The Sierras are sick to but there is something about the Escorts I like better. Probably the shorter wheel base and its not so square.

For me,a Dodge Dart R/T or Rallye would work. I test drove one this past Saturday while my Abarth was getting an oil change. Surprisingly very quiet and one of the smoothest 6-spd manual transmission I have ever driven. Usually the 6-spds I've driven the gear ratios are spaced where if you're not careful,you could downshift into the wrong gear. That wasn't the case here,the shift action was near Honda quality. Granted the Multiair Turbo engine could use a little more grunt on the bottom end but still I was impressed. I can only imagine how the SRT version will turn out.

If I had to choose a car... not a motorcycle



Or, I have a 1972 Opel GT that I'd love to get running again... and turbocharge. With the stock 1.9 liter. No one's done that before that I'm aware of.

I have to stay with a ford so how about a 1988 thunderbird super coupe it came with a 2.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine Stock it put out 190 horsepower and 240 lbs. of torque.

That's the first time I could called it a Thunderbird It was no longer a Thunder chicken.
