Got in a wreck...

Sorry I didn't know exactly where to put this thread. I haven't been on this site in a while.

My mom has a 2008 ford focus ses with an auto. Yesterday I was driving down the highway and got hit by a very big piece of cement that flew off a truck. I more so ran over it but it managed to push the radiator all the way back to the intake manifold. The fan is broken too. The front bumper cover is all cracked and the fog light pieces got popped out.

It really could've been a lot worse. I have no doubt in my mind if it would've went through the windshield, I wouldn't be here typing this right now.

I'm not too worried about the bumper and fog lights. I just need to get this car drivable again. So where is a good place online to get a new radiator and fan? Everything else looks fine which really surprises me because of how hard I hit that cement piece. Built ford tough lol. Thanks for the help in advance guys.

Good idea! I didn't even think about going to a yard! I'll probably go that route. I'd still like some back up plans though lol

Thanks I wasn't too sure where to put this.

Thank you! I'm just happy it wasn't any worse. Considering what could've happened, I can deal with a radiator and fan replacement. It just sucks because its my moms car and I feel so bad which is why I'm gonna be fixing it for her.

Turn it into your mom's insurance. From what you describe, it should be covered under her comprehensive coverage, not 'collision' (assuming she carries those coverages).

She doesn't have insurance. She's been unemployed for a while and just got a job across the street so she hasn't got any coverage yet. My car was down and I had to do community service 20 miles away and take a chance with her car. So I have to pay out of pocket to fix this.
