New Pads/ Disc's Grinding

I have recently had new pads and disc's fitted. After a few miles I can hear a grinding noise at low speeds and when I pull away from a stop it then stop as I increase speed. Could this be because they haven't bedded in right yet?

The new brakes are probably dragging a little. Double check that all the springs were installed correctly. These are what keep the pads from continously rubbing on the rotor.

Also the drag could be caused by caliper pins not be cleaned and relubed.

Sounds to me that the caliper pins, what the caliper rides on, are sticking. Pull them and if they aren't smooth you'll need to clena them up and re-lube with caliper grease. Re-check them every 4-6 mo's to get the most life out of your new pads.

It looks kind of like a giant convoluted paper clip. Another area that's often overlooked is the tabs on the ends of the pads. These sit in slots on the caliper/caliper bracket. If these slots are rusty etc. they can also prevent the proper movement (release) of the pads.
