2013 Focus window tint

I have an appointment set up for Tuesday morning to get all the windows and a sun trip tinted on my 2013 Focus. I had 35% tint before on a Jeep Cherokee I had. I know that still isn't very dark. I also know state law will only allow 35% or lighter. My question is, if I went with a 20-25% tint, would there be a big difference that a cop would easily be able to know its too dark. Ideally I want something darker then 35% however don't want it so dark a cop can't see in and know just by looking that it is illegal. Any suggestions as to what percentage I should get done?

If I remember right the 35% law only applies to the front windows. The back windows can be darker. I did 35 front and 20 for the back door windows,20 also on the back window. Haven't had a problem with the police.

I know as of January of 2011 state law was no darker then 35% on all windows, if you went with darker tint on the rear windows your allowed no tint on the 2 front windows, and if it was an SUV, MPV or etc. that has factory tint on the rear windows, you're allowed no darker then 50% on the 2 front windows. As far as I know the law hasn't changed since then. My question is would a 20 or 25% tint be so dark you can't see in and attract a cop easily? I'm looking to get the same percentage of tint on all my windows for it will match.

I have 20%. Notable difference between 35% and 20% but it's not pitch black. I have had it for a year and pulled over 5+ times and never heard a word about my tints

Can you post a picture of your car with the 20% tint for I can see how dark it is?

I went with 5% all the way around on my MK3. I have yet to be stopped by anyone. Knock on wood though.

I decided to go with the law and do 35% tint all the way around as I found out that going darker than the law would void the lifetime warranty. With the dark interior though, it don't look bad at all.

Looks good, but since its a 2013, the law USUALLY will look the other way, if its a 68 impala with 28" wheels, then you are looking for trouble. I live in Kansas, and no-one gets tint tickets, I have 20% all the way around with a 5% 6" visor.

I was thinking about getting a darker tint despite the law but did not want to void the warranty out like I was told it would by the installer. I did go with the high performance tint instead of the cheaper tint, after seeing a sample of both and although both were 35% this looked darker.
