One Touch Up/Down Window Addition (to SE)

I've been searching around quite a bit, and I haven't found much on it.

I was wondering if anyone has tried or if it would even be possible to swap the one-touch up/down window switch panel (driver side) into a SE from a SEL/Ti.

I think the function is built into the switch, but it may be on the body control module too. Any one try this yet? IIRC, the switches are available from Tousley Ford for about $85.

Post isn't completely clear.

The one-touch up/down driver's window is standard on all models.

The one-touch up/down on ALL windows was standard on SEL and Titanium, and there were modules in each door.

I don't think that is as simple as swapping a switch, but I could be wrong - I'm curious, though ...

Tiger-Heli, the S and SE only have auto-down for driver's.

I don't think it's too simple, as the motors themselves are called "smart" motors or something (if I recall correctly). Anyways, the motors aren't the same, so they might need to be switched, too.

Sadly, it isn't as simple as just changing the switch panel. You could pop it off and see what other connections are available as a first step?

Aww, yeah. I may give it a shot, my Mother drives a 2012 SEL. I may have to venture over and see if she'd let me tear the door apart a little and swap switches.

Please do, if you can, and let us know! For $85 I think it'd be a great update.

That would be sweet if the swap to one touch for all windows was easier than expected. I would do this for sure. Let us know what you find out.

The S and SE window system and the SEL/Ti windows are completely different. They not only have the door modules on the latter, but are wired completely differently as well (multiple fuses and power sources where the S/SE system uses a single fuse). It may be possible to modify the passenger side window for auto-down since that function is part of the switch assembly.. but i haven't ventured in to the switch itself yet to check.

It might be worth $85 for the chrome tipped switches... they look and feel nicer to use

I work at Michigan Assembly and I can tell you this WILL NOT work. I worked on the door line for about 6 months and there is more of a difference than jsut the switch. There is what they call a DCU box attached to the left and right front doors. There are 2 different DCUs and some cars that get no DCU. The low level DCU is for all power windows, OTD driver's side only, the high level DCU is for OTU&D for all windows and the ones with no DCU have manual crank rear windows.

I know for a fact that both DCUs have the same connector, but if i remember correctly, the number of wires in the harness are different.
