What else is there?

Hey guys I was just wondering what other options I have to increase power in my 2012 focus other than a new intake, exhaust, and tune?

i think that's pretty much all we can do right now, until a turbo or a super-charger kit comes out. You can change the internal parts of the engine. that should help by quite a bit.

You mean like new cams and pistons? Where would I buy those?

I don't think there are any internals available for the mk3 yet, and you wont gain much with anything other than cams (internals wise) anyway.

Ok I'll have to keep an eye open for when these become available. I know I'll have to get new forged pistons if I plan on getting a turbo for the added compression. Waiting on the turbo kits too

I've said it before and I'll say it here too, you could always put ST pistons and rods in to drop the compression and run low to mid boost on an NA mk3 if you really wanted to. ST has forged rods but cast pistons, but they have held upbonbthe handful of big turbo STs making around 400whp.

Yeah I wouldn't need too much boost. Probably try to make 250-300bhp. I wonder how much psi that would require?

Depends on turbo size and efficiency. Stock ST turbo takes 21psi and full bolt ons to make like 280hp. A larger turbo would take less boost pressure than that

Interesting. Well too bad these are all just ideas until someone finally steps up and makes a turbo kit for the mk3.
