My first focus I owned had 200k miles on it before I got rid of it. Damn engine and drivetrainwas still going strong.... the body just got too rusted out from Michigan winters.

I liked it so much I got another one with low miles.

well, if u get a focus, just prepare for the hate from the car community. lol i tell people what i drive and what ive done and they all ask the same question....."why? its just a focus". as stated, these are great lil cars and if u get a duratec, there are very few, problems ive heard. cant even really think of one right now. lol ive got 109k on my zetec and shes still driving great. such great cars, i got my wife into one....

I didn't even buy a focus and already got hate lol. I just take their opinions and act like I'm listening. Great car, and you forgot great family on FF ;) compared to hondatech..... Wow you guys are great :) But yes, I'm prepared... More attention for me.

I guess what it comes down to is what has low miles and is clean you know? I'm not picky .

You know, it really does make you love your car more when there is a positive community surrounding it. I can't speak to Hondatech, since I'm not a member there, but I know this is by far the best community I'm a member of! If you can, make it to a get together of some kind if you do get the focus, even if it's bone stock. We have an event on the West Coast called "Ocean Shores Focus Wars" and it was like a family reunion. No hate, no dissin' on each other's cars, just show and tell with great people. Its awesome how cars can bring folks together

Very true sir!! Any events on the east coast ? Gives me another excuse to come visit the west, just got back and loved it! I guess I shouldn't speak bad on another site but there's a lot of arguing and the Honda scene is going downhill. Just my experience... Anyways lets get back on topic lol!

The Focus community is great. It has its share of idiots, but what scene doesn't? And yes.. prepare for people to hate on your Focus if you get one. But I always liked being different. And I like to think I started the Focus scene in my town because I was the only modded Focus around.. then 2 more popped up.. and then I sold mine and now 2 more popped up lol. All ZX3's.

I switched out to a VW about 4 months ago and I don't regret it. But I have plans to end up back in a Focus for a DD by next summer.

And I still hang out with the locals that I met on FF regularly. Awesome community. Welcome.

2 different cars, both mine.
Second has 17's on it and DGR coilovers.
First is sitting on cut SVT springs/dampeners.

Meh. Just buy a true exhaust system and call it a day.

Look at Borla, Magnaflow and FSWERKS for the Focus. Those are your best systems.

Also, if you get a zetec, look at doing an SVT header swap with an ORP (off-road pipe). That setup with a Borla exhaust is the best sound you can get from a Focus, IMO.
