!HELP! 2003 ATX stock TB !HELP!

Hey, guys I just tried to install my new FC 65mm 2003 TB and Justin and I ran into a minor yet big problem.

It would seem like that ford has changed the setup of the 2003 late model stock TB. The item that has changed is the cable running from the throttle cable, it appears that it does not have a rubber gromet that is key to install this part on the FC TB. Another issue it seems as if the bracket spacing has changed as well, with my stock TB where the cruise control and throttle cable go it is flush unlike the earlier model that is spaced apart

I can't install the FC without the rubber gromet. I was wondering if I can get this part from a local dealership or what. Also, if I end up having to change the cable length how will that affect my throttle cause comparing the length of the stock Vs. the FC is about 2inch it seems without taking acurate measurements. I know that I can cut the end of the cable and just add the rubber gromet. But, I wonder if FC is aware of this problem.

Have any of you guys run into this problem. I would like to install this be the weekend but, I can wait if I have to.

that is what my stock has on the side.

I seem to have a manual TB on my ATX focus

http://www.myfordperformance.com/cgi...72.16504/page=

And like EnigmaZV just pointed out to me on MSN messenger after he got home. He showed me the manual TB and it seems as if my part has to go back

*edit would it be better if I just changed the throttle cable to a 2002 focus instead of waiting the 1-2 months the replacement part* and yes it would take that long to do so.

Did you buy the ATX bracket for the TB? If not, that might be the problem!

Bump. I just noticed that they don't sell an ATX bracket for that model TB. Can you give FC a call and talk to there tech guys. They are really nice and would help as much as possible.

:) Alright, he ordered the 2000-2002 T/B w/ the ATX bracket, because that one is also for the 2003 ATX. But when we popped the hood, his t/b looked different than mine. His looks like it would fit better with the 2003 MTX t/b. Now shipping from the US to Canada this close to Christmas will take forever, so we want to know if it'll be faster/cheaper/better to just swap his throttle and cruise control cables with some 2002 ATX cabling.
