Sync Music Playback Problem

My Sync all of a sudden can't understand anything but the 'play all' command. Any time I say 'play artist _____', 'play track _____', or 'play album _____', all it does is think for 3-4 seconds, says "creating speech commands", and does nothing. Is there a fix, like resetting the sync software or something else?

search syncmyride. register and follow the instructions on the website. you will need a flash drive and will be going back and forth from the car to your compy as it checks for the current version you are using, downloads the update, installs and verifys. its done by ford so you can trust the service. mine used to do the same. i cant say that i have had that problem in a year or so. but it is best to let it create the speach commands for a few minutes then try again. dont rush it.

There is an option in the menu to reset SYNC to default, but if that doesn't work I'd recommend pulling the fuse under the dash (I think SYNC is fuse #14) and resetting it that way. You'll have to pair up whatever bluetooth devices you use again, but everything will be reset and working normally.

I had the case about a month after I bought the car that SYNC screwed up and wouldn't connect to my phone. Reset it this way and haven't had a problem since.

Definitely reset via the menu FIRST, pull the fuse as a last resort.
