Free HD Hero 2 Cam Delivered?

Dunno if you guys were aware. But Ford was giving out 1000 HD Hero 2 cameras for the first 1000 pre-orders. My dealer made sure to put me on that list (preordered in July).

Last night I got home from work to find an Info Notice slip from UPS saying they tried to deliver a package that required a signature from Ford.

Naturally, I'm thinking its the camera. Just struck me as a bit odd to deliver the free camera before I actually put money down or anything on my car.

Anyone else know about the camera?

If you pre-ordered an ST3, it's most likely a die-cast model as a token of appreciation for your patience.

LOL. You are correct! Got the package last night, and was surprised to find a mini diecast model of the car--even in the same color.

Kinda cool that they're acknowledging the delay with a cool trinket.

How do you order a car without putting anything down or anything on the car? It doesnt work like that in my neck of the woods.

You can leave a token deposit like ($100 in my case which was later refunded when I refused the order). Where is your neck of the woods?

Yeah, it's Tangerine Scream across the board, it would seem. I dont think Minichamps makes a different one.

gotta put 500 deposit towards getting in order to get them to order one here with the options i want but the 500 goes towards the down on the car anyways so i wont complain. siad if i give them the 500 in october november i would have the car some where between december-january. wouldnt have to finish the paper work untill after the car is here so that i can do a full walk around and test drive to make sure im happy with the quality.

all of our cars shoulda been here 2 years ago!!! lets just tell em put the basic headlights in and when their gets figured out they can send them to the dealer and have them installed. By the time the st3's roll out the sexxy Bi'*ch is going straight into the garage. no bueno IMO.
