Drivers side seat heater

i'm looking for help regarding getting my seat heater to work again (Wisconsin winters, make that a handy luxury). It was not working when i bought the car, and never really thought about it, but it would be nice to get it working again, or rededicate the button for something else.
does anyone have a wiring diagram, or experience fixing this issue?

The heating grids in the seat bottoms (there are grids in the seat backs too) tend to break wires, and thus stop heating. I don't know if these are still available from Ford, but check with Steve @ Tousley, he will know. Good luck.

In the Recaros it's the seat bottom heater that malfunctions, most of the time the thermostat wire breaks which is in the seat bottom. The buttons are crap too, I have a handful of spares from the junkyard. There's a "how-to" on replacing the seat heater for the Recaros, but it would be a good guide line for the standard seats if that's what you have.

I have the diagnostic flow chart somewhere too...

I have no idea if I have recaro seats or not. I believe the recaros are all leather, but mine are cloth with leather sides. I will have to look up the how to guide on this... This is generally the kind of project I make worse rather than fix, lol. I do appreciate the help and the chart. I'll post back in a few days with my results.
