Steeda STS + suspension mods=sportier '10 SE?

Just picked up a used '10 SE 5spd w/low mileage. Like the car but after driving my budd's '98 Acura Integra, I realized how lame the Focus shifter is and the car sits a bit too tall.

I'm happy with the power output...just want a sportier feel.

So putting in a Steeda STS and doing a modest drop with some springs, will the car feel sportier? I don't know about replacing the sway bars...(assuming I have a rear one....I didn't check).

suspension and sts are great mods, they make the car more fun to drive ... just do springs and struts/shocks together. lower springs on thier own will quickly kill you shocks and lead to poor handling

a polly lower engine mount is another easy mod and will go well with the sts

Thanks....now if I can just find which springs/shocks to get. Steeda's site has stuff not for my year car. Yeah a better lower mount not a bad idea either.

Actually I already ordered the Steeda STS. I ordered the Damper set from Tousley (Damper set- M-18000-ZX3B).

Now I'm just on the hunt for the M-5560-ZX3B SVT springs since they're out of production but still out there.

I'm hesitant to use the stiffer M-5560-ZXM1 springs.

For sure order the dogbone= poly lower motor mount. Like it was said above keeps the motor from rolling around a lot, hence easier to shift.

Start watching for those sway bars in the B-S-T section... they'll help you kiss body-roll goodbye!

Well I didn't want to go too nuts (but sorta did maybe) so ordered:

Steeda sts (just arrived today)
M-5560-ZX3B -SVT springs
M-18000-ZX3B- Shocks/Struts
FSwerks cool-flo CAI

I don't like too much noise so probably not going exhaust. And I like the power as it is. So this will be about it for now. I don't drive the car that hard so the dogbone mount, I don't see the need right now. Not to mention I hear they make the car vibrate, which I don't want. Sway bar maybe down the road.

And I'm not going to install one thing. I suck as a mechanic and I don't have the time. Speed shop nearby will be doing it all.

Looking forward to driving with the upgrades though!

Did you listen to the video samples on FSwerk's site for their exhausts? The stealth exhaust inst loud at all (it does sound much better though) and helps your car exhale a little better! I didnt want much of a sound increase and have been very happy with their CAI/Stealth exhaust combo.

Yeah I have a little bit. I'd rather wait and see how the sound is with just the intake first.
