Street name not showing on home screen *FIX*

Hello all!!

I apologize if this has already been posted.

Problem: Nav system displays and SD card error. After resetting card, navigation works but no longer shows the street name you are on at the home screen under the compass.

Fix: Program your nav to a destination and start the route. Switch to your home screen. You should see what your next turn is in the nav area. Go ahead and cancel your route and return to your home screen. The street name should now be displayed under the compass.

Hope this helps!!

Rob

Thanks for letting us know! It's already been reported to Ford and the work-around is known: http://bugs.outofmytouch.com/issues/62

Feel free to check this site that I believe one of our lovely users created (not owned/operated by Ford).

It is not just the SD card error that causes it. Any reset or reboot causes it to disappear as well (and the workaround works for these instances as well). The other option I've discovered is to wait 5-6 days and it just seems to come back on its own. I figured that one out by sheer laziness and disinterest in fixing it the first time and tested it on purpose the second time, sure enough 6 days later it was back!
