Hfc ?

It sounds way better without the hfc, I've been running a trubendz Magnaflow for almost 2 years now without one

that's what i figured. would it be best to get another catless downpipe? or cut out my hfc and have a shop weld piping in place?

As far as a catless down pipe= the manifold is part of the converter= manicat. Nothing really you can do about that, it hook's up to your flex pipe. If you have a hfc after your flex pipe, you could remove that part & install a piece of pipe in place of your hfc. I don't know a shop that would legallity do that.

I think the OP just keeps calling it a downpipe and thats whats causing confusion. A downpipe is the collector where the four pipes of the header combine into one before the main cat and then flexpipe.

After the flexpipe you have a highflow cat. Removing that hfc with a straight pipe will increase your sound. Like felix said, some shops may not want to remove a cat. Just convince them that the main cat is in the manifold or find a shop that doesnt care.

Yes. Thanks for clarifying what I mean. I don't see why they wouldn't. They removed the stock one and didn't ask any questions about it when putting on this kit.

I'm thinking about a 2.5" HFC for my Focus. It has full 2.5" exhaust (two magnaflows) and OBX header, it's very loud.

Do you think I'll have loss of power if I throw a HFC ? Do you recommend any 2.5" HFC? Magnaflow?

A little more back pressure maybe? I have one from magnaflow. Street and OBDII legal according to them.
