Sounds about right. You might save a few bucks online or from Tousley but if it were me I'd just buy it now rather than have to wait on shipping.

Lol. Might as well do the plugs too while you're at it.

Edit..... N/M, you already did those. You should be good.

Check the pigtail that has three wires coming from the ignition pack

if they look loose or damaged at all replace it! I had this same problem, it will cause all sorts of problems with idling, if it STILL happens replace the ignition pack with motor craft. its worth the 99-100$ plus you can get warranties on them (KEEP THE RECEIPT)

if you need the pigtail here is the link http://focus.c-f-m.com/msdperformanc...x2zetec-1.aspx

Wait. So just replacing the coil pack won't fix it?

If those pigtail wires are damaged, then no. Good point, Btw.

Do this:

Take a photo of your plug wires with your phone so you can see how the new wires will be assembled.

Check the pigtail for loose connections/damaged wires.

If the pigtail is damaged, replace it and see if that fixes your problem.

Replace your wires. They can go bad with no visual symptoms.

Check to see if you're problem goes away with new wires. If not, remove and replace coilpack.

Pics of my shitty coil wiring.

I bought it this way, don't yell at me. I'm SUPER ANAL () about my wiring. I would never let it look like this, if I had done it.
