60$$ Premium Oil Change by Dealer!!!

Is this normal? My dealer said the usual oil change is 119.99 but now they have a "special" for ONLY 59.99. I feel like I'm getting robbed..

I hope they bought you dinner first, because that's a good Fg. Please tell me that was at least for full-synthetic oil.

What is "premium" about the oil change besides the price?

Why aren't you changing your own oil?

Full synthetic is $35-$42 for a 5 quart jug, 20 minutes is worth half the cost every time.

5qt jugs are around $25 at Wallyworld so doing your own change is totally worth it.

Most any QuickLane Ford place will do it for $29.99 + tax for syn-blend. Unless they were doing a tire rotation and balance and a full car detail it doesn't seem like a good deal.

Pretty much every Ford dealer does oil changes (The Works Fuel Saver Package) for $29.95 with a $10 mail in rebate. Or so says Mike Rowe and Jim Twitchell.

he is in Canada, Mobil 1 up here is $12 a quart.

so if he did get a full synthetic oil change for $60 he got a good deal imo.

needless to say i usually stock up on oil when i go into Michigan.
