Purchasing tools at Home Depot

I have a quick question for someone who might have an answer. I am looking to purchase some small stuff at home depot. I take surveys online through a website who offers gift cards for home depot. So I have built a collection of about 40 $10.00 home depot cards. Can you use multiple gift cards on one purchase or no?

I worked there part time in 2009 as a cashier, and I THINK I remember that there is a limit of how many cards you can use in one transaction...and I think it was 8. But it's entirely possible that they've upgraded the system by now.
