03 ford focus ZTS overheating...
Ok guys i'm new to this site so i hope i'm placing this in the right area :
my 03 focus is overheating.. I did notice that my fan (i'm guessing the radiator fan) DOES only come on when i turn my a/c on.. I"M not sure if my fans are coming on too late that is causing my motor to heat up so fast. both my a/c fans low speed and high speed are working but i do not hear the radiator fan on without my a/c on. any ideas? |

Hi & welcome to the forum!
The low-speed fans should spin up when engine is on cusp of overheating. I forget what the trigger temp was on mine - somewhere around 114C. Search this forum (General Technical Chat) for troubleshooting tips; the topic has been discussed ad nauseum. Here are a couple to get you started: http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...27&postcount=4 http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...light=resistor
