I'm here. I do have a full time job and a wife and cannot be on here 24/7, lol....but I try!! I wasn't "acting" like I want to make things right. I truly want all of my customers to have the best experience with their Ford/Lincoln product. I have been on this website since 2006 because I am a Focus Fanatic. In general I am a Ford Fanatic. I've always owned them and hope to always do so in the future.

Honestly, I do hope to get everything fixed for the Original Poster of this thread. The best customer for me is a happy customer. I want them to enjoy the product that they invested in just as I enjoy my 2012. I can agree with you that some advisors may not care at all and just do what they have to for a pay check. I really do like what I do for a living and I try to do my best for everyone that I come in contact with. I am a Master Certified Ford Advisor (meaning I have taken many classes and courses above what is required of me) I am certified as such because I love what Ford stands for and the products they produce and the more I know, the more I can help others. Every car won't be 100% right from the factory. Humans are involved in the process and they make replacement parts for a reason and for this, I have a job.

With this Focus in specific, the noise that I and the technician originally heard was the one that I have heard in many Foci and was the "normal" clutch noise that I hear every day in every Focus. However, the Original Posters noise is not the same as it was when I first drove their car and is definitely not right. Now that I have verified something abnormal, Ford will allow me to proceed. We are currently replacing the clutch pack. It is on order and due in tomorrow (09.12.12) actually. I hope to know in a day or two if their issue is fixed.

If anyone has any questions about any repairs to fix this concern, feel free to ask me.

I feel your pain. Ive been to the dealer 3 times complainig of the noise. I will certainly keep you updated. I requested the TSB for the struts, so my car is in the shop right now. I also called Fords Customer Care line and had a complaint filed. Keep bringing it in. If after 3 times nothing happens (and it's getting worse) you can then decide if you want to follow the lemon law or keep trying.

As you can tell hopefully my clutch is being replaced. I am hoping it will fix the problem but obviously can't update anyone just yet. My fear is why would a clutch need replacing within a year? Will the computer, which is most likely the underlying problem, be fixed as well? I dont know just yet. Time will tell and I'll let those who are interested know what's happening.

I was into the dealer today to get the TSB on the strut done and they gave me a piece of paper from Ford explaining the characteristics of the 6 speed Powershift transmission. They said people had been in complaining and Ford told them to start giving this to people. If anyone wants a copy send me a PM and I will email a pic of it to you.

Not saying that something isn't wrong with anyones car but I just wanted to throw this out for people to see.

I only got that link after bugging the service manager at my dealership once too often with questions about the DCT from things I'd read here. I still think they should put a copy in the glove box on every DCT-equipped vehicle as it rolls off the line.

Yeah, I've been given that paper twice. The short version and the long version. It's a little bogus to me because I knew all along the noise in my car was not normal. It got worse and worse and worse with time. I am sure some real damage has been done to the car where as if they had taken it apart the first time I complained it would have been a whole lot less expensive. Or that's my theory. What I don't buy is that the noise my car made was EVER "normal". Even at its quietest it was the exact same noise it does now... just quieter. And I agree. It all should be disclosed to someone as they are buying the car. I literally wasn't even told about the transmission woes until my car nearly killed me rolling back on a really steep hill. And YES, I realize I should have done my hw, but let's be honest, I'm not really into cars and I trusted my salesman. Plus, everything about the transmission online at that point spoke nothing but praise. Lesson learned.

As I've said before... perhaps my "normal" noise is so bad because it's an early build. I truly hope so. I don't want anyone else to go through the headache I have.

Just an update, I took a video of my car yesterday (she was actually acting up a lot) but I used my phone and it's really just an awful video (think VGA quality) paired with an even worse audio clip.

I'll retake the video again tonight with my actual camera.
