Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I need some help. My wife's car, a escape, has had lots of problems with not starting. It has gotten really bad lately and the car has spent more time in the shop then at home.
We take it in and they replace a part and then it stops working again in a day or two. They seem to be just guessing. She has had it for almost two years this spring.
So my question is do any of you have experience with dealing with something like this and where should we go from here? She has talked to the dealership the last time and wanted to see about the lemon law but they seem to be unwilling to help. I would appreciate any help we can get as to where to go from here. Thanks!

It's a 2011 escape, sorry that would be good to know. It won't crank anything. She turns the key all the way to start and nothing. They have replaced the battery the starter and a "pin" in the steering console (that's her telling me what they said).

Have they scanned it? Do you get any power with the key on(key on engine off)? Is the transponder in the key good?

this reminds me of the old problem with pass key 2 where you had the bypass it...it only works in older gm's thought not so sure about new fords. The VATS starts to go bad and if it doesn't see the proper resistance the car wont start.

Scanned it? It will get power, like the accessories come on yes when the car doesn't start. I might have her try her spare key next time and see if it starts up.
