Question Poor Remote Range

I seem to be having a very poor reception/signal from my key remote for my 03' SVT. I just put a new battery in it thinking that was the problem but nothing has changed. Right now i am getting a range of about 10-15ft.
Any thoughts?

Normal, focus range for remotes isn't good at all, changing the actual antenna/receiver wont even help much, a new key fob might help a little but i doubt it

Darn, that sucks because a little more range would be nice.

One time I was looking for my car in a large parking lot. I tried using the alarm button but I saw my car before the button activated the alarm! Not more then 20 feet from the car.

Lol, I have done the same thing! It's pretty frustrating.

I found the wire on the GEM that's the antenna for the key fob, maybe it can be extended for better range. I haven't tried it yet, I want to, my range works 15-20ft max.
