Yeah, I also like having it vs a remote because I can park my car outside my house and not worry about someone breaking in and opening my garage door since it wont work without the key FOB around, and is one less thing for someone to steal.

Even better Bolto. I forgot that it wouldn't work without the FOB. One of the easiest places to break into a home is from inside the garage when there is a door into the home. This is the reason why Canadian building codes require a 1" deadbolt on interior doors inside garages. It won't necessarily stop a determined thief. But it can slow them down. Leaving a garage door opener visible in your car parked outside your home is like running an ad in the local paper saying "Please break into my home. Just smash the window in my car and use the garage remote I left for you".

On the 2013 this is no longer a feature that is offered with the car.

OK...So where is a good place to store the garage door opener remote? It wont fit on the visor because the visor is too thick

Are you sure?

According to the Ford website, Universal Garage Door Opener is standard on Titanium.

Positive. I just picked up my 2013 yesterday...NOT 2012...and it does not have the opener.

Ford is no longer including or offering them in the car. Parts guy is ordering me one from a 2012. Retail is $95.

Mine is currently velcroed out of site out of mind under the dash on the drivers side. Simple reach down to hit the button.

Also, at this point, prevents anyone from seeing it in the event of a break-in.
