Hatchback cover
Out of curiosity, how many of you use the hatchback cover? This is my first hatchback and since I got it i've had the cover on, but went on a trip last week and removed it so i could fit more luggage and I love the extra utility of being able to basically throw anything in the trunk.
The only con I can see is easier theft.

Interior noise is higher without the cover installed

It can be surprising how much sound it helps to isolate from the back wheels. I like to keep it in regularly unless I need to haul something big.

I have mixed feelings on this as well.On one hand with it off they can see theres nothing worth stealing.but when I do have something back there I dont want to advertise it.. we need one that works like blind.

i usually leave it on unless i need to haul large amounts of stuff around.
it helps dampen the noise, and also prevents people from looking in through your windows. the latter can be solved by tinting your windows though..

I never noticed the increase in noise when I take it out, but I keep it in basically only so people can't see in my trunk. I'm with you, I like it when it's out though. I never had the one in my GTI in. But since there's a sub in the back, I know some cheap bastard will try and lift it.

Mine's always in, unless I need more room. I don't want to get it dirty storing it somewhere. With my windows tinted as they are, the hatch cover make it look pitch black in there.
