drop spring questions

I have a friend with an 04 4 door hatch who wants to sell me his springs. i have a 2010 4 door sedan. I'm sure they will work but i just want to be sure. i don't see why not but what you guys think.

What springs? Any shorter springs are going to require struts/shocks that work w/ thou's shorter springs. I'd figure out what springs there are & the drop. You'll need '00-'05 struts & the omni kit to make thou's springs & struts work. The '00-'05 struts & springs don't interchange w/ the '06+ springs/struts. There are a lot more choice's w/ the '00-'05 suspension kits then the later '06+ sets. The omni kit is a sleeve that takes up the clearence between the strut & spindle= For '06+ Ford made changed out the strut/spring design & made the spindle diameter slightley bigger for the bigger diameter strut. Why I don't know. There again they weren't thinking.

You to get the '06+ spring/damper combo or you can use the earlier '00-'05 kits w/ the omni kit from Massive. He is a sponsor here, so check him out.
