Edit: Here you go, problem solved.

This weekend I think I'll install them as reverse lights then.
how are the t-10 cree projected led's working for you?

still sitting on my desk. They were too big to use as parking lights, and I have been way too lazy to remove the rear light housings to install them as reverse lights.

So far so good with the phillips bulbs up fron though.

After a lot of wrestling with it I was able to make it fit a little better but it still looks like a place for water to enter on rainy days or at the carwash. It seems like there should be a rubber gasket below the light assembly, but of course, there is not.
My passenger side headlight assembly is like this. The top of the light assembly is higher than the hood. The drivers side is flush.

I've removed the lens to see if it was engaged / clipped correctly. It is. Just sits a tad higher.

Are you talking about the headlight wiring harness? I have removed my headlights about a dozen times, and have never broken any clips. You just push them in with your two fingers, and pull the harness out.

Ok I'll try that. I started pushing down with a flathead screwdriver and didn't see anything happening so I didn't go any further
