Should I get the Steeda RSB or the Eibach Sway Bar Coil Kit for my Mk3?

Alot of people have the Steeda RSB and like it:

but I'm also eyeing this Eibach kit:

I'm not looking to really lower the vehicle, but I am looking for less body roll.

The Eibach kit doesn't come with shocks or struts so it's not really worth the $450 in my opinion because I can't imagining it working all that well, especially if you are looking for handling vs. lowering. The Steed RSB has had nothing but stellar reviews on it.

If you want a full handling kit Ford Racing now makes one you can get for something like $800 and it comes with front and rear sway bars, springs, and shocks/struts.

Rear swaybar install is about 20 minutes
Front swaybar install is a couple of hours.
Front spring install is a couple of hours.

The difference between the two choices you show is two nearly identical rear swaybars, plus one has a front bar and springs.

If you aren't excited about throwing 6 hrs labor at a front swaybar and new springs all around (should get better shocks), don't buy them.

If you are willing to do the labor, an eibach front and rear swaybar set is the best thing I did to my focus.

It'd be great to hear if frpp's comes out w/ a st rear bar & knuckle kit. That'd be worth installing along w/ a set of dampers/springs.

Here's a good read on why our swaybars are superior: http://www.steedablog.com/2009/07/sw...da-difference/

The Eibachs have stamped ends, while our's have billet ends that are welded on, which are stronger. Stamped ends are more likely to fail under stress as the stamping creates many tiny stress fractures.

Hey all I just saw this thread. I'm getting ready to purchase rear sway bar. I was about to purchase Eibach, and read that article about "stamped ends" and decided to get Steeda. I told the guy I was gonna buy the Eibach from about it, and he said not to get Steeda because they are hollow tube steel (unlike Eibach, Whiteline, which are "solid spring steel") and had a Steeda rear sway "break" on one of his "sponsered cars"

Anways i'm still don't know what to do.
My friend's argument was that Steeda makes parts specifically for Ford so it's better.
On the other hand i feel like Eibach is more reliable and been around longer.

I just don't know. Currently I can get Eibach RSB for $135 and Steeda RSB for $130.

I'd get the steeda bar, for the rear.
